Role

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister, Court and Justice Services Division, the Executive Director, Court of Justice Operations (CJO) will provide strategic leadership and support the planning and delivery of Court of Justice Operations. You will also ensure that the Court and Justice Services systems and processes are efficient and responsive to the needs of Albertans by working with system partners to modernize processes and leveraging technology for Justice Digital, to create a more user-friendly access to justice services.

As a strong strategic planner, you will generate efficiencies for government, the courts and stakeholders by leading the CJO team to implement a modernized justice system and delivery transformation by shifting away from paper-based systems. You will also collaborate with stakeholders, including the judicial branch of the Alberta Court of Justice to develop and implement a provincial operational model and framework for excellence in court operations.

Qualifications

Extensive related senior management experience leading complex operations in a large, service-oriented organization is required. You understand the issues impacting court administration services and knowledge of federal and provincial statutes and regulations related to the work of court services.

A law degree and membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta is required. Thorough understanding of relevant legislation will also support your success in this role.

Salary
