Statement from CBA Alberta President on appointment of Chief Justice of the Court of King's Bench

  • June 24, 2024

On behalf of the Canadian Bar Association – Alberta Branch and our 5,400 members across the province, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the Honourable Kent Davidson on his appointment as Chief Justice of the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta.

Chief Justice Davidson has long been known for his dedication to the communities he serves and the administration of justice; from his time as a city councillor in St. Albert, to his appointment to the Court of King’s Bench in 2019. Prior to being appointed to the bench, he was also an active member of CBA Alberta, and we look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with him and the Court in support of its vision to deliver innovative, responsible and accessible justice.
