Late last year CBA Alberta did a PD survey and you told us that you want to learn more about technology. We heard you loud and clear. And just like that [fingers snap], next month we will be launching an innovative new technology series designed especially for lawyers called the Modern Lawyer Series. That’s the power of surveys.
The Modern Lawyer Series will set you up for success by teaching you how to unlock the potential of technology and adapt to the changing demands on modern lawyers. Whether you love tech, hate tech or have a love-hate relationship with tech, the Modern Lawyer Series is for you. Check out our brand-new Modern Lawyer Series webpage.
The Modern Lawyer Series will kick off in March with “Cybersecurity – Robust or Bust.” Join us on March 20 for “Part 1: Introduction to Cybersecurity.” We will dive into cybersecurity to help you safeguard your sensitive information. Topics covered will include email security, password keepers, secure remote work platforms, Cloud security, digital footprint awareness and staff cybersecurity training.
And then on April 25, you won’t want to miss our follow-up webinar, “Part 2: Cybersecurity Solutions.” We will dive deeper into cybersecurity and learn how to identify, select and implement cybersecurity software and other solutions that meet the unique needs of your legal practice.
Registration is also open for Parts 1 and 2 of “Document Management – Summiting the Mountain” on May 23 and June 19 when our legal tech experts will discuss and demonstrate the latest developments in document management, including document automation, organization and storage.
I get it. You receive a lot of survey requests. We all do. But PD like the Modern Lawyer Series depends on you sharing your PD needs with me. That’s why I’m going to keep sending you PD surveys and keep hoping that you’ll find a spare moment to do them. So please, whenever you register for PD outside of Sections, like the Modern Lawyer Series, keep an eye out for an email with a link to a survey. By taking just a few minutes to complete that survey, you’ll be helping me help you meet your PD needs.
If you’re absolutely all-surveyed-out but still want to share your thoughts about a CBA Alberta PD program that you attended, please send me an email. I want to hear from you.
