CBA Alberta Response to COVID-19

  • March 13, 2020

Like many of you, we have been monitoring closely the information and recommendation provided by public health officials regarding the COVID-19 outbreak in Alberta. The situation continues to change on a day to day basis and at this time, our of care and concern for our members, we are suspending all in-person Section and committee meetings effective Monday, March 16, 2020. In-person Law Day activities throughout the province will also be cancelled. We will continue to monitor the situation and will resume in-person meetings as soon as it is deemed appropriate to do so based on information provided by public health officials.

Where possible, we will be offering our Section and Committee meetings to members by webcast. We are in the process of reaching out to Section executive members to arrange this, and then will be contacting all members who are already registered to attend Section meetings to provide further information on how to access the meetings remotely.

If you are a member of a Section executive, a Section presenter, or otherwise are registered to attend a meeting at either CBA office in Alberta in the near future, we ask that you give our staff time to contact you, as we will be prioritizing events based on date. That said, you are welcome to contact your local CBA office if you do have an urgent request regarding your membership.

We thank you in advance for your cooperation with this. The health and wellness of our members and staff is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and update our membership as things progress.
