Constitutional & Human Rights Law

The Constitutional & Human Rights Law Section focuses on constitutional law, including the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the division of powers, as well as human rights law.

Diverse speakers, including members of the judiciary, will cover substantive law, and practical and procedural issues for lawyers who face these issues in their practice. The Section seeks to address both civil and criminal contexts and offers joint meetings with other Sections, including Administrative Law, Civil Litigation, Criminal Justice, Education Law and Environmental Law. The Section is committed to fostering discussions and keeping CBA Alberta members up to date with speakers on recent developments and trends.
