The Securities Law Section focuses on topics at the cutting of this constantly evolving area of law including corporate governance, continuous disclosure requirements, harmonization of provincial securities law, and filing requirements in connection with various types of public and private distributions.
Speakers from both inside and outside of the securities bar provide a wide variety of perspectives to help CBA Alberta members make their practices more effective and efficient. The Securities Law Section enjoys a long-standing and solid relationship with the Alberta Securities Commission, which regularly provides speakers and expertise to Section meetings.
