Biography
I specialize in Family and Divorce Law, providing tailored legal services for individuals navigating separation, divorce, and relationship transitions. My practice covers a broad range of family law matters, including divorce, child custody and parenting arrangements, spousal and child support, property division, prenuptial and cohabitation agreements, and protection orders. I have particular expertise in high-conflict separations and complex asset divisions, including those involving business interests, farms, trusts, and investments. With a background in finance and accounting, I am well-equipped to handle cases with corporate or financial complexities. My goal is to help clients through what is often a stressful and challenging time by offering clear, practical legal advice. I focus on ensuring clients fully understand their legal position and the available options for resolution, empowering them to make informed decisions.
I am committed to resolving matters efficiently and equitably, prioritizing negotiation and out-of-court settlements wherever possible. However, if a fair resolution cannot be reached, I am fully prepared to advocate for my clients in court.
To provide the highest level of service, I stay current on legal developments by attending continuing legal education seminars, Canadian Bar Association events, and legal research initiatives. I am also dedicated to increasing access to justice through volunteer work with organizations such as the Canadian Bar Association, Alberta Family Lawyer’s Association, Edmonton Community Legal Center, and as a Family Law Sessional Instructor at Grant MacEwan University.
I joined Demas Schaefer Family Lawyers in 2024, a firm known for its exceptional service and expertise in Family Law. I am proud to be part of this team, drawing from its deep knowledge and experience to best serve my clients.
