Business Law

Business law is an area of practice that has evolved to become as diverse as the businesses it serves, encompassing everything from incorporation to dissolution and all may arise in between.

Two business people looking over a report with charts and tables.

The Business Law Section examines a broad range of legal topics relevant to businesses of all sizes and those who advise them. Speakers from a number of professions (including accountants, engineers, realtors, insurance agents, financial advisors, etc.) provide insight and perspective to CBA Alberta members on general business matters. These include trends and concerns arising outside the practice of law and on matters dealing with commercial transactions, corporate governance, and other legal and business activities.
