Biography
I am an associate lawyer at RLC. I attend to rates, tolls and tariffs, and compliance matters before provincial and federal energy regulators. I grew up in South Africa and was admitted to the South African Bar as an Advocate (similar to a Barrister in the U.K.) in 2009. I have more than 11 years of civil litigation experience in South African courts, representing parties in various commercial matters during negotiations and trials. My work included representing parties in illegal mining matters, land claims, construction disputes as well as commercial recoveries. I also appeared before Tribunals and Energy Regulators in South Africa and represented clients in litigation stemming from the introduction of Independent Power Producers to the South African energy landscape. I moved to Calgary in 2019 and joined the RLC team in December 2020. I became a member of the Law Society of Alberta in July 2022.Member at Large
