Summary
The Employment Standards Code has been amended to allow all full and part-time employees covered by the Employment Standards Code to access paid, job-protected leave to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
If an employee requests, employers may choose to provide additional time beyond the 3 hours.
Employees must provide notice of such appointments to their employers as soon as reasonable ad
practicable.
Employees do not have to provide medical certificates or records of immunization in order to access this job-protected leave or to disclose any health information about underlying conditions.
