International Business Law (South)

The purpose of the International Business Law Section is to provide a forum for practitioners to discuss recent developments in areas of international law that impact individuals and corporations in Alberta.

Section meetings have explored issues related to:

  • International negotiations
  • International tax
  • International arbitration
  • Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Petroleum developments in Russia, China and post-war Iraq

In addition to meetings, Section membership provides a conduit to the national CBA International Law Section. The Section hosts an annual Christmas social for members to meet in a less formal setting.  Section membership also includes an annual subscription to Canadian International Lawyer.

Join this Section and participate in the experience and practice of international business law.
