CBA Alberta: 1915 - 2015

The year is 1915 and World War I is raging. The British ocean liner Lusitania is sunk by a German submarine, and 1,195 perish. In Canada, the Massey trial where maid Carrie Davies, accused of killing Bert, a member of the powerful Toronto Massey family, was found not guilty. The Canadian Bar Association has been in existence for almost two decades – officially since 1914 – and it’s the year Alberta joins the fl edgling national organization.
